Launched in 2014 by Dr. Carlton Robinson, The Bridges Small Business Initiative is a program of the JAX Chamber Entrepreneurial Growth Division and is designed to be a key facilitator for supplier quality and development in Northeast Florida. It helps smaller companies grow and promotes supply chain diversification among corporations. This is accomplished through a series of entrepreneurial activities that prepare small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for growth. During the qualification process, small businesses will perfect plans, pitches, and strategies through entrepreneurial education, teaming & mentoring.
Dr. Robinson has created several online programs focused on entrepreneurial development; he embedded the infrastructure for online support in 2014 with an online orientation. With a wide range of request outside of the Jacksonville region for JAX Bridges type training and the spread COVID-19 (Corona Virus), our timeline was accelerated to expand our online offerings. It is important that in the event we are not able to meet weekly with participants for the The Bridges Program we can run a hybrid program with online activities. This type of business continuity speaks to the strength of Jacksonville’s entrepreneurial social infrastructure. We will provide online workshops, online pitch opportunities, and courses consistent with the JAX Bridges experience.
Value Proposition for online program:
Blue Ocean Strategy for entrepreneurial support services.
Create synchronous learning environment beyond JAX Chamber facility.
Expand access of proven program and methods to areas that lack resources.
Increase engagement opportunities for entrepreneurial development.
