JAX Bridges 2016: Bridge2Business Event

The JAX Chamber is celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week with its Bridge-To-Business event.  Our JAX Bridges program is providing pitching opportunities, business modeling opportunities, and business connections for entrepreneurs.

Cost to attend is $50 (Pay here)

Session A39: Join representatives from The Jacksonville Aviation Authority, Balfour Beatty Construction, Michael Baker International, and Johnson Controls they discuss how to do business with their organization and evaluate pitches to select businesses for business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and/or mentoring opportunities. 

Session A42: Supplier Readiness Exercise. So what happens if you get a contract opportunity with a large supplier? We help prepare participants to do business with large suppliers with our supplier readiness exercise.

Session A43: Join representatives from CSX, Duval County Schools, Tire Diva/Link Staffing, and Visit Jacksonville as they discuss how to do business with their organization and evaluate pitches to select businesses for business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and/or mentoring opportunities.

Adam Rentschler, CEO, Co-Founder ValidEval

10.45-11.45: Join Adam Rentschler in discussion on how he will work with the JAX Chamber to provide new opportunities to connect the Jacksonville entrepreneurial ecosystem to the Denver entrepreneurial ecosystem in 2016. Adam is a Denver-based serial entrepreneur who has spent his 22-year career running, fund-raising for, investing in, coaching and mentoring startup companies. He has raised money from a wide variety of sources including strategic venture capital, venture debt, friends and family, and even a U.S. government intelligence agency. As a very junior VC, Adam had one positive exit. He co-founded, ran and sold betterVote.com in 2000 as the dot-com bubble burst. Valid Eval was born of Adam’s frustration with poor learning outcomes for companies competing for grants, prizes and acceptance into accelerator programs.

12.15-1.30: Join Pru Ashby in discussion on how she will work with the JAX Chamber to provide new opportunities to connect the Jacksonville entrepreneurial ecosystem to the London entrepreneurial ecosystem in 2016. She leads on London & Partners activities for the Eastern region which stretches from Eastern Canada to Florida. She regularly advises and speaks at events on globalisation and expansion into new markets and is passionate about strengthening the collaborations between London and Jacksonville.  Pru has spent almost 9 years with London & Partners where she has developed a strong reputation in supporting North American companies in their set up and growth in London including Twitter, Uber, Airbnb, Box, Tesla and Hootsuite who fed back that Pru saved them 6 months on their set up in London.

Session A4002 (8.30-10.10): Supplier Readiness Exercise. So what happens if you get a contract opportunity with a large supplier? We help prepare participants to do business with large suppliers with our supplier readiness exercise.

Session A4003 (8.30-10.10): Join Adam Rentschler for a session that will enhance your ability to communicate to investors and mentors. Adam will share and provide (Risk Stairs) a tool that is a story-telling technique to help you relate your strategy to investors and mentors. The tools helps you generate an excel generated graph for presentations.

Session B4001 (This session is at capacity): Join representatives from The Jacksonville Aviation Authority, Gilbane Construction, Steinmart and more as they discuss how to do business with their organization and evaluate pitches to select 8-10 businesses for business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and/or mentoring opportunities. The Bridge2Biz Spring Event

The Bridge2Biz Spring Event is a component of the JAX Bridges Program.  It is designed to promote engagement and opportunity between Northeast Florida vendors and suppliers. Registered participants for the event will be enrolled in a pilot program that delivers notifications for future business opportunities.
